After Dark Moon left the band and before the band recruited Edison “Enforcer”, they decided to make a record of three new songs evoking some glorious singles from the golden age of metal, such as “Creeping Death”, “Haunting the Chapel, “Sodomy and Lust”, etc. their idea was to put this project into vinyl. The included songs were: “Nightmares of the Dead”, “Dirty Bitch” and “Metal Mania”, granted to them not only more musical maturity but more identity and the possibility of exposure the Witchtrap’s sound is out from all modern influence or contamination that came from 1992 to nowadays.
By the other hand, the recording was made at Organic Sound Studios on October 2002, which was the same studio where they had recorded “Sorceress Bitch” and “Witching Metal”, because up to these days all their experiences there, gave them full satisfaction. Witchhammer himself performed the bass session.
They developed the cover idea and design, and the front cover photo was taken live by some maniac who gave it to the band and whom they unfortunately don’t remember.
Some foreign labels were interested in the single, but one of them in special made a serious proposal, and then the single was programmed for pressing. However, due to economical problems or due to something else happening inside that label, the mini LP started to be delayed again and again till one or two years passed. Regarding this, they decided to not go on waiting and put themselves in charge to make the release of the single on their own label Dirty Sound Records, to have it done at least on CD format, and even after “No Anesthesia” was out for several months.
